Teeo's Privacy Policy

Date of Last Revision: April 27, 2026

CREATIVE SHAPES PTE. LTD. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Teeo platform and website at teeo.io (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and safeguard your personal data when you use our Service.

This policy is primarily governed by the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Additional jurisdiction-specific terms are set out in Section 8 below.

By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service. The Service is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT FROM YOU?

A. Personal Data You Provide to Us

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password, or OAuth identifiers if you sign in via a third-party provider (e.g., Google or Apple).

Swing Recordings and Video Data

Videos and images of your golf swing that you record or upload through the Service. These recordings may capture your physical appearance, body posture, and movements. Your swing recordings are private by default — they are accessible only to you and not shared with other users or made publicly visible without your explicit action.

Model training — explicit opt-in only. Your swing recordings and the coaching outputs we generate for you will not be used to train or fine-tune AI models unless you have separately and explicitly opted in. You may withdraw this consent at any time without affecting your access to the Service.

Derived Swing Analytics

Body pose estimates, joint angles, movement paths, and swing metrics (e.g., club speed, hip rotation, tempo) extracted by our AI from your swing recordings. These analytics are used solely to deliver personalised coaching results.

Practice and Coaching Data

Notes, session logs, lesson content, goals, golf skill level, handicap, and coaching preferences you add to your profile over time.

Purchase Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect your name, billing address, and payment method details. Full payment card data is processed directly by our third-party payment processor and is not stored on our servers.

Communication Information

Any messages, emails, or support requests you send to us, including their content and metadata.

Other Information You Provide

Any other information you choose to provide when using features of the Service, such as survey responses or feedback submissions.

B. Personal Data We Receive from Your Use of the Services

Device and Network Information

Device type, operating system, browser type, app version, and IP address.

Log Information

Server logs including access times, pages viewed, errors, and the referring URL.

Usage Data

Features used, session duration, interactions with coaching content, and other behavioural signals that help us understand how the Service is used.

Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and gather analytics. Please refer to our Cookie Policy for full details.

C. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health information, or biometric identifiers beyond what is inherent in swing video recordings processed solely for coaching purposes. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under the age of 16. If you believe a person under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at admin@teeo.io and we will delete it promptly.

2. HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?

We use your personal data to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
  • Analyse your swing recordings to generate personalised coaching insights and feedback.
  • Build and maintain your coaching profile over time to track progress.
  • Process payments and manage your subscription.
  • Improve our AI models using anonymised or aggregated data only. We will never use your identifiable recordings or coaching outputs for model training without your separate, explicit opt-in consent.
  • Make automated coaching recommendations based on your swing and practice data (see Section 5 regarding automated decision-making).
  • Communicate with you about updates, new features, or support.
  • Send marketing communications where you have opted in. You may opt out at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email or contacting us directly.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Detect and prevent fraud or misuse of the Service.

3. HOW DO WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION?

We store your data on secure cloud infrastructure using encryption at rest and in transit. Swing recordings and derived analytics are stored with additional access controls given their sensitive nature.

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be stored or processed in countries outside Singapore, including in the United States. Where such transfers occur, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place — such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or reliance on adequacy decisions — consistent with the PDPA, GDPR, and other applicable laws.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, to provide the Service, and to comply with applicable legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. When your data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymise it. You may request deletion of your swing recordings or full account data at any time (see Section 5).

4. HOW DO WE SHARE YOUR DATA?

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it in the following circumstances:

  1. Service Providers. Trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, payment processors, email delivery), bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  2. Business Transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our assets. We will provide advance notice before your personal data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  3. Affiliates. We may share data with our corporate affiliates, in which case we will require them to honour this Privacy Policy.
  4. Legal Compliance. Where required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  5. Third-Party Integrations. Services you choose to connect to Teeo (e.g., wearable devices, calendar apps). Data shared with these integrations is governed by their own privacy policies.
  6. Other Users. If you voluntarily share content (e.g., a swing clip in a community feature), that content may be visible to other users as described at the time of sharing.
  7. With Your Consent. We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit prior consent.

5. DATA SECURITY AND YOUR RIGHTS

Regardless of where you are located, you have the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: request deletion of your data, subject to legal obligations. Swing recording deletions will be completed within 30 days.
  • Withdraw consent: at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
  • Data portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format where technically feasible.
  • Automated decision-making: Teeo's AI analyses your swing data and generates coaching recommendations automatically. These suggestions are informational and do not produce legal or similarly significant effects. You may request human review of any AI-generated output by contacting us.
  • Lodge a complaint: with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) of Singapore or your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@teeo.io. We will respond within 30 days.

6. PRIVACY POLICY UPDATES

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Date of Last Revision" at the top of this page. Where changes are material, we will provide reasonable advance notice — for example, by email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
